My first time replacing the battery. (VPRO DLX 1K) Two years which is excellent. However, when I went to unscrew the cap the plastic top piece broke off from the metal under cap. I purchased this from TecTecTec so it should have had a two year warranty. Ok, I purchased it in July of 17 and it’s August of 19 so I am out of warranty by what, two weeks. They did send me the link to where I could buy a new one:) I did, but really……two weeks over. So as a warning or FYI to everyone, do NOT overly tighten the battery cap. It has an o-ring seal that does not need to be compressed to seal. It’s a slide seal fit. Screw it down to slight resistance and you will be fine. Learn from my mistakes. I still think this is a great rangefinder and TecTecTec is a good company! Carry on.
